Achieve the Perfect Body Shape with Liposuction!

Fast-paced lifestyles, stress, lack of physical activity, and poor habits all contribute to water retention, cellulite formation, and weight gain. As a result, there are fewer and fewer women satisfied with their physical appearance and body.

During the winter season, when there is an abundance of celebrations and indulgence, very few people think about their figure and weight. While summer seems far away, and loose blouses and sweaters cleverly hide any excess here and there, we assume that there is more than enough time to get things back on track before the next summer.

And then, as the days grow longer and the sun starts tempting us with summer outfits and swimsuits from our wardrobes, many remember their plans for the coming months and that this summer will finally be the one where we shine in all our glory in a swimsuit.

However, in the 21st century, this is not an issue that cannot be resolved. Today, there are numerous solutions to this problem, and one of them is liposuction.

When it comes to removing fat from the abdomen or other parts of the body, liposuction is one of the most popular methods used for body contouring. However, it is not intended for weight regulation or skin tightening! The removal of abdominal and other body fat deposits (hips, thighs, buttocks, upper arms, calves, etc.) is a surgical technique that quickly and easily removes fat to achieve a more desirable body shape. However, aesthetic surgery in this sense is limited to the removal of a maximum of 5kg of fat deposits, which is not sufficient to achieve a more desirable appearance in cases of excessive weight. One advantage of treatments such as abdominal liposuction or liposuction on other body parts is that they can be combined with procedures such as facelift, abdominoplasty, skin tightening on various body parts, buttock augmentation, correction of other body parts, and more.

How is abdominal liposuction performed?

Abdominal liposculpture or liposuction of other body parts is performed through small incisions using special medical instruments called cannulas, which are inserted under the skin to extract fat deposits. The cannulas used in procedures such as abdominal liposuction must have different shapes and sizes to ensure even removal of fat tissue from all layers of the skin. Prior to the procedure, it is possible to break down fat deposits by injecting a physiological solution with adrenaline into critical areas to reduce bleeding and potential complications, thereby facilitating the process of abdominal fat removal and skin tightening. This procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia and can last from 1 to 5 hours, depending on the number of regions involved in the surgical procedure.

Furthermore, after abdominal liposuction or liposuction on other body parts, it is possible, if desired and needed by the patient, to use the removed fat tissue for enhancing areas of the body that are unsatisfactory in terms of size or shape (lip augmentation, buttock augmentation, cheek filling, etc.), as well as for correcting irregularities and depressions, and smoothing out wrinkles.

How long is the recovery period, and are there any complications with traditional abdominal liposuction?

Aesthetic surgery, like any other operation, carries certain risks and potential complications, but with a skilled and professional medical team, these are minimized! Immediately after procedures such as traditional abdominal liposuction, it is necessary to wear a compression garment to tighten excess skin, and its use is recommended for a minimum of three weeks after the operation.

After the removal of abdominal fat or fat from other body parts, return to normal activities is possible as early as 3 days if the patient's overall condition is good and pain-free. Some rare complications that may occur include bruising, discoloration, and swelling, which are normal postoperative occurrences and usually subside within two weeks. Additionally, in certain cases, there may be disruptions in skin sensitivity, as well as the appearance of minor irregularities, which is why lymphatic drainage treatment and postoperative massages are recommended.
