Apicotomy
Apicotomy is a surgical procedure that removes the tip of the tooth root along with the infection on it. Procedures such as apicotomy enable the restoration and preservation of teeth that cannot be cured by conservative therapy, and would otherwise have to be extracted. The apicotomy procedure in most cases is a completely successful procedure that removes the process at the top of the tooth root. The procedure itself implies the obligatory filling of the root canal.
